About Me and My Practice
I am a licensed psychologist currently providing services to people in California and North Carolina, where I will be offering in-person services in my Chapel Hill office.
I have been a licensed psychologist for over 20 years and have provided services to individuals of all ages and throughout the life cycle.
My therapeutic style is collaborative and based in respect and empathy
I’m sensitive to and respectful of people from various cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, and I support an individual’s choice of how they identify, who they identify with, and whom they love. My approach to treatment is eclectic, as I draw from several theories and approaches in the practice of psychology. I utilize treatment strategies from Cognitive Behavioral, ACT/DBT, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic theories in psychology. I tailor each client’s treatment to their individual needs, what their goals are for therapy, and what I believe will be most helpful to them.
My interpersonal style is compassionate, warm and direct
My work with clients is tailored to the specific needs of each person. The work that I do is rooted in evidence-based strategies and supported by psychological research and years of professional and personal experience.
My goal as a clinician
is to help people learn how to be self-reliant and acquire the life skills and insight that will enable them to reach their personal goals. I help people develop an understanding of how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors shape how they see themselves and engage in the world around them, so that they can navigate their lives with confidence.
I am passionate about helping people
and it is my hope that the work that we do together will bring about the change you hope to see in yourself, your relationships, and your life circumstances.
